The Workforce Investment Board (WIB) of Tulare County is dedicated to strengthening workforce training and education for job seekers, and ensuring businesses thrive through investment in strategic initiatives. We focus on fostering in-demand industry employment, endorsing work readiness through certification of soft skills, implementing talent pipeline strategies to retain local talent, and offering comprehensive business services in collaboration with partners. Additionally, we oversee One-Stop Career Centers, providing essential employment and training services aimed at strengthening our region’s economic and workforce development.

Center on Opportunity and Social Mobility
AEI’s Center on Opportunity and Social Mobility (COSM) conducts rigorous research and develops evidence-based policies aimed at expanding opportunity in America by reducing entrenched poverty, increasing upward mobility, and rebuilding social capital. COSM informs and develops an agenda that tackles opportunity gaps facing disadvantaged children and families, increases upward mobility, and renews associational life. In doing so, COSM is attentive to trade-offs, unintended consequences, the strengths of markets, and the importance of work and family. COSM champions personal responsibility and agency while acknowledging external barriers to achievement.
